Of Course Sue Boldra is a Republican!

Earlier today on the Kansas01 blog reporting on our website, a commenter posted:

Pro-gay marriage? Pro-abortion? Carrying on the Clinton legacy? Is she running as a democrat or republican? I thought another republican was getting into the race.
In response, of course Sue Boldra is a Republican. She is more of a Republican than Wasinger, Huelskamp, and Barker will ever be.

The difference is this: Sue Boldra believes that people make the best decisions on how to govern their own moral lives, not the government. Isn't that a Republican value? Shouldn't it be? The government has no right to tell women what to do with their bodies, nor do they have any right to tell a woman that she must marry a man in order to be recognized in society as being "married."

The Republican Party lost its way because it has promoted candidates who appeal to so-called "values voters." In order to rebuild our party we must be able to appeal to everyone in the spectrum. The next generation of voters WILL favor women's reproductive rights, and we must appeal to them. Being "pro-life" and "pro-marriage" are things of the past.

I am, however, glad that the commenter couldn't tell if Sue Boldra is a Republican. That is a good sign that she doesn't fit the profile of a modern-day Republican candidate. That is why we want her to enter the race in the first place!

DRAFT Sue Boldra for Congress -- JOIN OUR TEAM

Welcome to Kansans for Sue Boldra!

So far in the race for the "Big First," we have nothing but conservative nuts.

We have State Senator Tim Huelskamp, who wants to kick all the illegal "aliens" out.

We have Rob "Wassy" Wasinger, who has been endorsed by anti-choice leaders such as Fred Thompson, Frank Pavone, Bobby Schindler, etc. etc., you get the drift.

We have Tim Barker, who is apparently only interested in blogging about nutrition in his race.

If you want a serious candidate, Sue Boldra is your woman.

If you want a candidate who will proudly represent ALL of us in the Republican Party, even those who believe in the right to choose and the right to marry, Sue Boldra is your woman.

If you believe that men overrepresent women in politics and you want to continue the legacy of Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sue Boldra is your woman.

If you are sick of the politics of Jerry Moran and Sam Brownback, Sue Boldra is your woman.

If you believe that marriage should be between two people who love each other and nothing else, Sue Boldra is your woman.

Sue is a long-time teacher who believes in the right of a public education for all, and will oppose all school vouchers for those who want to avoid public education.
